Rare 1967 IBM Selectric Typewriter in Nasa Blue and Space Gray rarest color combination, overhauled

Rare, 1967 IBM Selectric Typewriter in Nasa Blue and Space Gray with an 11 inch writing line. This is the rarest color combination with Blue Keys, less than one percent of all Selectric’s were made in this color combination. This came from the estate of a NASA and Space collector and it did not occur to me that the blue keys were the same color as Nasa Blue until I noticed other Nasa memorabilia in the same colors at his estate. I'm sure IBM's designers were well aware of the prevalence of Nasa’s colors and I would bet this color combination is the Apollo Mission of IBM typewriters. I had this completely overhauled this summer by Phoenix Typewriter. I even had them replace the main flywheel which is nylon and cracks over time with an improved metal one they had machined, as well they cleaned lubed and adjusted this typewriter to factory required specs. Its case is in excellent shape with very minor surface rubs see photos. Send email for additional photos. It’s a beautiful example of a classic IBM Industrial Design Product and belongs in a museum.

I have 4 second generation type element balls (Manifold 10, Prestige Elite 12, Script 12, and Orator 12 with the original Owners Manual. Also comes with 4 first generation type elements which are known to break so they are not to be used, they also come in the original IBM ball case with two plastic brushes.

No shipping available on this typewriter as its big and heavy although I will hand deliver to Phoenix Arizona for $100 or within 500 miles of Tucson for $250, you can also pick this up in Tucson, Arizona for no additional charge. Contact me for any other information the photos are of the actual typewriter. And yes I used to shoot photos for IBM here in Tucson!
