Vintage 1940's Curtiss Candies Baby Ruth Candy Bar Chainstitch Jacket Work coat
This is a Curtiss Candies Jacket either worn by a candy maker in the factory or this was worn at events where they were selling Baby Ruth Candy bars like at a baseball game or state fair. This Jacket came from an estate of someone who worked for or their family owned Baby Ruth - Curtiss Candies. The Curtiss Candies factory was right across the street from Wrigley Field in Chicago so I could see this being worn at baseball games from sell candy bars. If you collect Baby Ruth memorabilia you need this for your collection.
Size: Marked a 38 but its made to be worn over street clothes it fits me and I wear a mens 42 size sport coat. So I would say a mens medium.
Condition: Original Jacket from the 1940s looks like its in deadstock condition with some stains and discoloration. The fabric looks like its never been washed before, I just ironed it for the photos. I did not try washing it or bleaching the spots.
